Adding More Fun into Golf There’s been a constant call for golf to become more fun, more family friendly, take less time and be less expensive. If you ask a golfer why they play golf you’ll get a wide range of answers: “Golf challenges me to get better.” “I love the fresh air and exercise.” “It’s 4 hours with my friends.” You rarely hear “Golf is so much fun!” or “We laugh so hard on the golf course” or “It’s cool!” Gill Design aims to change that. The game of golf has remained largely the same for hundreds of years. It’s time for golf to become more fun. Let’s put the “play” back into “playing golf”. Broadening the Appeal of Golf Golf can’t be everything for everybody, but we believe golf can appeal to a much wider “audience”. Gill Design is working hard with its clients to uncover new ways to expand the growth of golf. We’ve introduced FootGolf and SNAG Golf for kids into our concept designs. Alternative forms of golf make the game easier to play and more family friendly. We’ve pitched a 4 hole “challenge course” on a renovation project to offer a less time-consuming and less expensive option. Gill Design has long been a proponent of putting courses and short courses. They offer a fun way to practice and a fun alternative to the traditional four round of golf. The Changing Landscape of Golf Golf courses cover a large expanse of land. It’s a shame that only golfers get to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. What if you could safely integrate other activities at your golf course? Speedgolf combines the demands of cross-country running with the precision of golf. Golfbikes and Golfboards offer exciting new modes of transportation that burn calories and make golf more fun. GlowGolf is a great way to expand your hours of operation and revenue. There are many other inventive ways to combine golf and other activities on your golf course. Gill Design can help you design, build, and safely operate multi-use features at your golf course. Doubling Down on Golf We want to hear your ideas.
