Tree Clearing Begins
A crew from YTS Tree Care begin work on May 22nd cutting paths through the woods. Clearing limits had been established and staked. Maples, oaks and pine were marked with orange if they were to stay. Trees for clearing were painted with pink markings.
Golf Course Superintendent John Cameron marked locations on the new holes with 20 ft high PVC pipe - back tee, dogleg point, and green. This allowed us to begin to see the line of play through the forest of trees. Three new holes were beginning to emerge.
5.26.2020 - This photo is on the par 4 6th hole. The pipe marks the dogleg point as the hole dives into the woods. A 240 yard drive from the white tees will leave you about 150 yards to the center of the green (marked by another PVC pipe in the distance).
