Decisions in the Field
The design of the new golf holes has gone from concept to construction in two short months. Many "design" decisions are made in the field as the holes begin to unfold. We particularly want feedback from the owner and golf course superintendent on issues of playability and maintenance. It's been a priority for the new holes to look and play similarly to existing Indian Hills holes. In addition, water needs to be able to drain on both sides.
7.2.2020 A major decision is being made about the playability of the "trolley troubles" on the par 5 5th hole. We want the golfer to think about whether they can carry their shot over the old trolley bed or decide to lay up - a classic risk/ reward situation. A scraper is removing dirt, one load at a time, so that we can come to a consensus on height and width of this historical golf course feature.
